1. Definitions

In these Terms, Host Luma, we, us, and our refer to Host Luma UK. You and your refer to the individual or legal entity purchasing or using the Services. Services means managed WordPress hosting and related services provided by Host Luma.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By ordering, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

3. Description of Services

Host Luma provides managed WordPress hosting. This includes infrastructure management, performance optimisation, caching, CDN integration, security hardening, monitoring, and platform-level support.

The Services do not include website design, development, content creation, SEO, marketing, copywriting, or third-party plugin or theme support unless explicitly agreed in writing.

4. Managed Hosting Scope

Managed hosting refers to management of the hosting platform and WordPress environment. You remain responsible for your website content, custom code, installed plugins, themes, and compliance with applicable laws.

5. Performance and SEO Disclaimer

While Host Luma aims to provide a high-performance hosting environment, we do not guarantee website speed, uptime percentages, Core Web Vitals scores, PageSpeed scores, search engine rankings, conversions, or SEO outcomes.

Performance depends on many factors including website code quality, plugins, themes, content, traffic patterns, and third-party services.

6. Automation, Caching, and CDN

Host Luma uses automation to provision services, configure caching, manage CDN services, and maintain performance and reliability. These systems may make changes automatically without manual intervention.

Certain features may require DNS changes such as CNAME records. You are responsible for making these changes unless otherwise agreed.

7. Plugins, Themes, and Third-Party Software

WordPress plugins and themes are third-party software. Host Luma is not responsible for bugs, vulnerabilities, licensing issues, compatibility problems, or data loss caused by third-party software.

You are responsible for maintaining valid licences for any premium plugins or themes unless explicitly included with your plan.

8. Security Responsibilities

Host Luma secures the hosting platform and underlying infrastructure. You are responsible for maintaining secure passwords, user access controls, application-level security, and ensuring that your website content does not introduce vulnerabilities.

9. Backups and Data Responsibility

Backups may be provided as a convenience on a best-effort basis. Backup availability, frequency, and retention are not guaranteed. You remain solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of critical data.

10. Fair Use and Resource Limits

Services are subject to fair use. Host Luma reserves the right to limit, throttle, or restrict resources where usage is excessive, abusive, or negatively impacts platform stability or other customers.

Host Luma may suspend or terminate Services immediately where these Terms are breached, payment is overdue, or activity poses a risk to the platform, other customers, or third parties.

13. Service Changes and Availability

Host Luma may modify, upgrade, or discontinue Services, features, or technologies from time to time. Planned maintenance or changes may result in temporary service disruption.

14. Consumer vs Business Customers (UK)

If you are a consumer acting outside the course of business, you may have additional rights under UK consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded by law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Host Luma shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the affected Service in the previous 12 months.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
