Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy sets rules that protect Host Luma customers and platform stability. You must comply with this policy when using Host Luma managed WordPress hosting and related services.

2. Illegal content and prohibited activity

You must not use the services to host, distribute, or promote illegal content or activity. This includes:

• Content that is illegal under UK law.
• Copyright infringement, counterfeit goods, or unauthorised distribution of protected material.
• Fraud, deception, or scams.

3. Malware, hacking, and abuse

You must not:

• Upload, distribute, or execute malware, spyware, ransomware, or malicious scripts.
• Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, servers, networks, or third-party systems.
• Run vulnerability scanners or exploit tools against systems you do not own or control.
• Use the platform for phishing, credential harvesting, or impersonation.

4. Email and spam

You must not use the services to send spam or unsolicited bulk communications. This includes:

• Purchased lists, list harvesting, or unsolicited marketing messages.
• Deceptive headers, forged sender identities, or misleading content.
• Operating an open relay or misconfigured scripts that generate abuse complaints.

5. Managed WordPress rules

To protect performance and security in a managed environment:

• Do not install plugins or themes that are nulled, pirated, or obtained from untrusted sources.
• Do not deliberately bypass caching or rate limits in ways that harm platform performance.
• Keep WordPress and installed components updated where possible.
• Do not create excessive admin accounts or share admin credentials widely.

6. Resource abuse

You must not use excessive resources in a way that degrades services for others. This includes:

• Crypto-mining, abusive crawling, or automated processes that cause persistent high load.
• Uncontrolled background jobs or loops that generate continuous CPU or database load.
• Distributed denial of service activity or traffic flooding.

7. Enforcement

Host Luma may suspend or restrict services where necessary to protect the platform, other customers, or comply with law. In urgent cases, action may be immediate. Where reasonable, we will provide guidance to help you remediate.

8. Reporting

If you believe your site is compromised or you receive abuse reports, contact Host Luma support promptly.
